These Are the Things Patients Mention Most

Before a makeover, most people describe the same handful of things. It is rarely one dramatic flaw. It is a collection of small ones that add up every time you see a photo of yourself.
  • Speaking with a gap you notice daily
  • Feeling embarrassed by stained teeth
  • Uneven edges you feel constantly
  • Turning away from every group photo
  • Chips and cracks that keep getting worse
  • Missing the smile you used to have
  • If two or three of these sound familiar, they can usually be handled together. One plan, one design, one result.

    Another Year of Closed-Lip Photos

  • Years Quietly Passing By

Every season of photos, weddings, and reunions happens with the smile you have today.

  • Small Flaws Grow Larger

Chips and worn edges tend to widen, which can mean more teeth involved later.

  • Habits That Become Automatic

Covering your mouth stops being a choice and starts being a reflex you stop noticing.

  • Simpler Options Slip Away

Conservative fixes like bonding work best while the change needed is still small.

  • Confidence Stays on Hold

Interviews, dates, and introductions keep happening while you wait for the right moment.

  • Longer Treatment Later

More correction usually means more appointments than starting while your concerns are minor.

  • Starting sooner usually means fewer changes and a faster result.

What a Smile Makeover Actually Includes

A smile makeover is a plan, not a single treatment. It combines two or more cosmetic services chosen for your specific concerns, which can include veneers (thin porcelain coverings), direct bonding, porcelain crowns, teeth whitening, clear aligners, or replacement of a missing tooth. Color, shape, size, and alignment are addressed together so the finished smile reads as one balanced set of teeth rather than a few repaired ones.

Every plan we design at Galleria Dentistry starts with records instead of guesswork: photographs, a smile book to compare tooth shapes, and impressions captured with our digital scanner rather than putty. Those records become a wax model of your proposed smile, which you review and adjust before treatment starts. Patients considering smile makeovers in Naples get to see the design first and approve it.

  • Typically combines two or more cosmetic treatments
  • Wax model created before any teeth are prepared
  • Porcelain veneers commonly last ten years or longer
  • A Preview Smile Before the Final One

A smile makeover starts with a plan you can see. Jodi and Amanda each tried a digital smile design and wore prototype teeth before their finished smiles. Hear what that test run meant to them.

    Benefits of Smile Makeovers

Choosing a smile makeover is less about a single visit and more about what the years after it look like. Most patients tell us the difference shows up in small daily moments they never thought to expect.
  • Bite into food with confidence
  • Stop thinking about your teeth
  • Laugh without covering your mouth
  • Even edges that feel natural
  • Care for them like normal teeth
  • Results that hold up for years
  • See a Smile Change Completely

Every case here combines several treatments into one plan. Compare the shape, shade and symmetry before and after to see the full transformation.

Are Smile Makeovers Right for You?

Nearly everyone asks whether their teeth are too far gone or not bad enough to bother with. Both concerns come up constantly, and the answer is usually neither. A makeover can involve two treatments or eight, which makes it a fit for a wider range of smiles than most people assume.
  • Have several concerns you would rather address in one plan
  • Are unhappy with the color, shape, and spacing of your teeth
  • Have older fillings or crowns that no longer match your smile
  • Want a natural result rather than an obviously perfect one
  • Have been told your teeth are healthy but look worn
  • Not Sure Where You Fall?

Most people cannot tell from the mirror which treatments their smile actually needs. A cosmetic consultation sorts that out, and you leave knowing exactly what a smile makeover would involve for you.

What to Expect During Your Smile Makeover

Patients often arrive expecting a long stretch of unknowns, and they tell us afterward that the plan felt clear from the first appointment. Every step is built so you know what is happening and stay comfortable throughout.
    1

    Cosmetic Consultation

You will do most of the talking at this visit. Your dentist asks what you like and dislike about your smile, whether you want teeth longer, shorter, wider, or brighter, and then examines your teeth and gums to confirm the foundation is healthy. You leave with a clear sense of what is possible for your smile.

    2

    Photos and Smile Design

Next we take photographs, review a smile book with you to compare tooth shapes, and capture impressions using our digital scanner instead of putty trays. Those records go to our cosmetic laboratory, where a skilled ceramist builds a wax model of your proposed smile. Nothing is prepared or altered on your teeth yet.

    3

    Reviewing Your Wax Model

You come back in to look at the design before committing to it. This is where you decide whether the length, width, and shape are what you had in mind, and your dentist confirms that the new bite will function comfortably. Changes are simple to make at this stage, so speak up freely.

    4

    Your Treatment Visits

Once the design is approved, we schedule your treatments in a sensible order, often whitening first so restorations can be matched to your new shade. Local anesthetic or nitrous oxide sedation keeps you relaxed for anything that calls for it, and temporaries let you live with the new shape while your permanent work is crafted.

    5

    Seeing the Result

At your final visit, temporaries come off and your permanent restorations are bonded into place. Your dentist checks the fit, the bite, and the way light reflects off each surface, then polishes everything smooth. You look in the mirror at a smile that matches the design you already approved.

Ready to Smile Without Thinking About It?

Settling In After Your Smile Makeover

Most patients are surprised by how normal the days after treatment feel. There is a short adjustment period while your mouth gets used to new surfaces, and our team stays available through all of it.

    First 24-48 Hours

Mild sensitivity to hot and cold is common, especially if enamel was shaped for veneers or crowns. Stick with lukewarm foods and softer textures for a day, and over-the-counter pain relief handles any tenderness for most people. Speaking normally usually returns within hours.

    First Week

Your tongue will find the new edges constantly at first, and speech can feel slightly different for a few days before it settles. Any tender gum tissue calms down quickly. By the end of the week, most patients have stopped noticing their restorations entirely.

Healing looks a little different for everyone, depending on how many teeth were treated and which services your plan included. You will receive written aftercare instructions for your specific case, plus a direct line to our team if anything feels off.

    Smile Makeover FAQs

Cosmetic treatment brings up a lot of practical questions, and there is no such thing as asking too many. Below are the ones we hear most often from patients considering a makeover. Anything not covered here, just call us.

How long does a smile makeover take?

It depends entirely on which treatments your plan includes. Whitening and bonding can finish in a visit or two, while veneers, crowns, or alignment correction stretch the timeline across weeks or months. We map out the full schedule before you commit to anything.
That worry drives more consultations than almost anything else. The wax model exists specifically to prevent it, since you approve the length, width, and shape before a single tooth is prepared. Natural results come from matching your face, not from copying someone else’s teeth.
Most steps involve very little discomfort. Whitening and bonding rarely need anesthetic at all, and anything that does, like preparing teeth for veneers or crowns, is fully numbed first. Nitrous oxide sedation is available if dental appointments tend to make you anxious.
Not at all. Some patients treat six upper front teeth, others treat two. Your dentist will tell you honestly which teeth actually show when you talk and smile, and treating only those often produces a balanced result at a much smaller scope.
Those get handled first. A healthy foundation is required before cosmetic work goes on top, so fillings, gum treatment, or a nightguard for grinding may come earlier in your plan. Skipping that step puts the entire result at risk later.
Longevity varies by treatment. Direct bonding generally holds up five to ten years, porcelain veneers average around ten years and often longer, and whitening needs periodic touch-ups. Good hygiene, six-month checkups, and a nightguard if you grind will extend all of it.
Purely cosmetic treatment usually is not covered, though some components can be. When a crown repairs a broken tooth or a filling treats decay, coverage may apply to that portion. We file claims for you and offer payment options through third-party financing.
Veneers, direct bonding, porcelain crowns, teeth whitening, a dental bridge (replacement for missing teeth) or dental implants (permanent tooth replacements), clear aligners for alignment, and gum treatment all appear in makeover plans. A nightguard is frequently added at the end to protect the finished work.
Speak up at the wax model appointment, which exists for exactly that reason. Adjustments to shape, length, and proportion are straightforward before treatment begins and far harder afterward. No one prepares a tooth until you are genuinely happy with the plan.
Everything begins with a cosmetic consultation. Patients considering smile makeovers in Naples come in, talk through what bothers them, and get an honest assessment of what their teeth actually need. You leave with a recommendation, not a hard sell. Call us to arrange a visit.
