Dr. Anthony J. Benza, DMD

Dr. Anthony J. Benza was born and raised in Naples, Florida, and is proud to continue a family legacy of dentistry in the community he has always called home. His father, Dr. Gery P. Benza, founded Galleria Dentistry in 1982, and Dr. Anthony now practices alongside him. Those years provided invaluable mentorship and helped shape Dr. Benza’s approach to patient care and his passion for building an exceptional team around him.

After graduating from Barron Collier High School, Dr. Benza attended Nova Southeastern University, where he studied biology, and later completed a master’s degree in biomedical sciences at Barry University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, before returning home to Naples to join the family practice.

Dr. Benza enjoys both the technical and artistic sides of dentistry and has a particular passion for comprehensive restorative and implant dentistry. He has restored dental implants throughout his career and has been surgically placing implants since 2017. He especially enjoys complex cases where he can help patients rebuild their smile, function, and confidence through restorative and implant dentistry.
Continuing education and technology have always been important parts of Dr. Benza’s practice. He continually pursues advanced training and incorporates digital dentistry, 3D printing, guided implant surgery, same-day restorative technology, and advanced 3D imaging into patient care. His goal is to use these advancements thoughtfully to make dentistry more precise, predictable, comfortable, and convenient for his patients.

Patient comfort is another important focus for Dr. Benza. He provides moderate conscious sedation for appropriate patients, particularly those who experience dental anxiety or require more extensive treatment. Some of his most rewarding cases are larger transformations: rebuilding worn or failing teeth, replacing missing teeth with dental implants, and helping patients regain the ability to eat comfortably, smile confidently, and feel like themselves again.
More than anything, Dr. Benza believes great dentistry starts with understanding the person sitting in the chair. He takes time to get to know his patients, understand what matters to them, explain their options, and create treatment plans around their individual needs and goals.

Away from the office, Dr. Benza’s favorite role is being a husband and father. He and his wife, Chelsea, have two young children and a Cavapoo who keep their family happily busy. They share a love of travel and enjoy exploring new places whenever they have the opportunity. When he isn’t practicing dentistry or traveling, Dr. Benza is happiest simply spending time with his family.
