Building Full-Mouth Smiles

Smiling man outdoors

No matter how well we take care of our teeth, most people, at some point or another, will experience a dental injury or decay. Don’t worry, though – here at Galleria Dentistry, Dr. Gery Benza, Dr. Anthony Benza, and Dr. Chelsea Benza don’t believe in passing judgment. We only want to help you restore the form, function, and beauty of your smile so you can live your life to the fullest! With the help of our restorative dentistry services, you can find the perfect solution to your dental needs here at our Naples, FL location.

Traditional Crown & Bridge

A dental crown is a custom-made tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed directly over a damaged, decayed, or weakened tooth. With it, we can protect a tooth as well as restore its strength and appearance all at the same time. Crowns can be made of durable cosmetic materials which are strong enough to withstand the chewing forces and create a natural-looking smile.

Dental crowns can even be attached to other prosthetic teeth to form a bridge and replace one or more missing teeth in a row. For this, two crowns are placed on the teeth on either side of the gap in a patient’s smile, and these are then bonded to additional teeth to close it. Bridges not only restore the look of the smile, but they also help even out the bite as well as prevent the other teeth from shifting out of place.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

In the past, small cavities were typically treated with metal amalgam fillings that stood out noticeably against a natural white smile. Today, we’re happy to let patients know that this is no longer the case. Tooth-colored fillings from our Naples practice are made from composite resin and are precisely shaded to match your enamel for a truly seamless result. Additionally, they’re a more conservative treatment that preserves your natural tooth structure.

Dentures & Partials

Dentists have been using dentures for hundreds of years, and today, many patients still enjoy their ease and affordability. At Galleria Dentistry, we create dentures to be an ideal match for your unique smile, resulting in maximum comfort. Full dentures are used to replace an entire arch of teeth, while partial dentures can replicate a unique arrangement of lost teeth. Both options are removable allowing for easy cleaning and comfortable rest.

Even if a patient has dentures, they still need to attend regular appointments at Galleria Dentistry. Annual appointments are necessary so we can professionally clean and check the fit of a patient’s denture. One of our doctors will also perform an oral cancer screening. Your denture may eventually become loose and need to be relined, and we’re happy to help you with that as well.

Implant-retained dentures are also available for patients interested in a more stable reconstructive solution!

Root Canals

If you’re dealing with a tooth that is severely damaged or decayed, extraction may seem like the only available option. Thankfully, our Naples, FL office offers root canal therapy. Root canal therapy involves one of our doctors accessing the inner chamber of your tooth and removing the infected pulp before resealing the area. This procedure cleanses your tooth of destructive bacteria and minimizes the chances of further infection. A custom-made crown placed on top of the treated tooth will restore any lost structure. This process can be completed in one to three visits depending upon your specific case.
