Our New Addition:
The Cerec Machine
At Galleria Dentistry we pride ourselves in using state of the art equipment. CEREC is a high tech computer and milling machine that Dr. Benza uses to design and fabricate a porcelain crown, inlay or onlay restoration. The advantage of the CEREC is that the restoration can be performed in a single visit. There is no need to take an impression or wear a temporary crown. Because of this, the traditional second visit has been eliminated. The restorations are natural looking, metal free, strong and plaque resistant. CEREC is just another example of Galleria Dentistry’s goal to provide our patients with quality restorations. We invite you to call our office for a consultation to see if you would be a candidate for CEREC restorations.

ViziLite
According to the American Cancer Society (ACS) oral cancer claims a life every one hour in the United States. An estimated 34,360 new cases are expected in 2007 and an estimated 7,550 deaths from oral cancer in 2007. And if you think you aren’t at risk for oral cancer, think again: in 2006 ACS found 25% of oral cancers occur in people who don’t smoke and have no other lifestyle risk factors. Virtually everyone is at risk for oral cancer, including you. This is why Galleria Dentistry performs an annual ViziLite exam, in combination with a conventional visual examination. We know that early detection is the key to a successful outcome. It’s a simple exam that is potentially lifesaving.
Our annual ViziLite exam is very simple. First, the hygienist will have you rinse with a cleansing solution. Then, Dr. Benza or Dr. Dumouchel will examine your mouth using ViziLite, a specially designed light technology. If a suspicious lesion is detected, it will be marked with T-Blue™ a blue dye, and documented. That’s it! We offer this enhanced oral cancer examination annually. If you have any questions about ViziLite, please call our office.
