Inlays and Onlays

The advantages of all-porcelain inlays and onlays are many. Most importantly; they can actually strengthen the tooth rather than weaken it as we see with traditional silver fillings. Unlike composite 'fillings' that are layered, a laboratory technician that is specifically trained fabricates the onlay and inlay. The reinforced porcelain material can also be used where a crown was once the only option. This technique saves more natural tooth structure. The ability to 'bond' to the tooth makes this restoration outstanding and since no metal is used, it offers the very best in natural appearance.
